これが、マスターピース世の中にはいくつかタイプの焚き火台があります。その中でもアウトドアブームのさなかに激増したのが、この「レーザーカットと曲げ」で出来た焚き火台。鉄製で、組み立て式で、重量は重め。町工場の、基礎的な技術で出来るやりかたであることもあり、一時期この方式の焚き火台が、嘘のようにたくさん出回りました。（今は軽量組み立て式がよく見られるようになりましたが）
今や知らない方もいると思いますので、今あえて言いましょう。
この方式のオリジナルは、YOKAのこの焚き火台なのです。
もちろん、同じ作りかたをしているものをすべて「パクリだパクリだ」と訴えたいわけではありません。世の中の技術はその前提となる技術をもとに進んでいくわけなので、それを認めなければ世の中は発展していきません。しかしこれだけは言いたい。世の中に普遍的に溢れてしまい、もはやどれがオリジナルなのか分からなくなってしまったものでも、必ず最初の１つはあるのです。
その最初の１つだから偉いし、一番すごいと言いたいわけでもありません。ただ、このYOKAの焚き火台すらも「なんかよくある、ああいう方式の１つだよね」と埋もれさせてしまうのは、なにか違うと思うのです。

さて、これを作ったのは2018年。そのときYOKAは木製家具が中心で、
YOKA GRIDDLEを世に出して少し人気を得ていたところでした。
それまでは「外でも中でも使える」という方向で家具を中心に展開していたのですが、インスタの画面にもっと写りたい！そのためには、キャンプの主人公を作らなければ！と思い立ち、焚き火台を作りたいと思い立ちます。
ただ、その頃は焚き火台は大手が作るものでした。ガレージブランド（と、後に言われるようになる）は、モノラルさん、笑'sさん、サンゾクマウンテンさんなど、ごくごく少数の方しかいません。
そんな状況のなか、僕が焚き火台なんて作って良いのか？そもそも作れるのか？？
そう思いながらも、いろいろなスケッチを繰り返していた時、ひらめいたのです。
「可動することを考えなかったらどうか？」
YOKA GRIDDLEは「レーザーカットし、その後曲げる」という工程で出来ています。その曲げを90°にすれば。穴と組み合わせれば…３つのパーツだけで、台が作れはしないか。そしてその３つのパーツは、１つに重なるのではないか…！？
YOKAを始める前は、組み立ておもちゃを作っていたのですが、その経験がここでも活かされることになりました。紙で試作し、実際に工場で試作をし、実際に使えるモノが上がってきました。
これは、初期サンプルをもってテストに出かけた（ついでに、イメージ撮影も）写真です。
うまく焚き火ができる。その当たり前のことに感動したのを覚えています。
そんなこんなで出来上がった焚き火台を、おっかなびっくり展示会に出してみると、意外にもたくさんのバイヤーさんから高評価をいただきまして。「ああ、僕でも焚き火台を作っても良いのだ！」と勢いづき、さらに試作をテストを重ねて重ねて、現在の形に至ったのでした。
変形の問題が出てしまったこともあるのですが、現在はそれも乗り越えたVer3というかたちで販売しています。

This is the masterpieceThe world has several kinds of fire pits, and during the camping boom one type multiplied especially: the "laser-cut and folded" fire pit. Iron, modular, on the heavier side. Because the technique relies on the basic skills of a small Japanese workshop, for a while these flooded the market in numbers it's hard to believe (today the lighter-weight modular kind has become more common).
Some readers may not know this, so let me say it plainly: the original of that style is YOKA's fire pit, right here.
Of course I'm not going to call every fire pit made the same way a "rip-off." Technology builds on what came before — to refuse that is to refuse progress. But there is one thing I want to say: even when something has become so common that no one can tell the original anymore, there is always a first one.
Being the first doesn't make it greater or more impressive. But to let YOKA's fire pit get buried in "oh, just one of those" — that doesn't sit right with me.

We made it in 2018. YOKA at that time centered on wooden furniture, and we'd just started getting noticed thanks to the
YOKA GRIDDLE.
Until then we'd been developing along the line of "use it inside or out," with furniture as the core. But I wanted more presence on Instagram — and to get there, I needed to build a hero piece for camping. That's when the idea of a fire pit took hold.
At that point, fire pits were the territory of the big companies. Garage brands (the term "garage brand" came into use later) were a tiny handful — Monoral, Sho's, Sanzoku Mountain, and a few others.
In that landscape — was I really allowed to make a fire pit? Could I even pull it off?
Sketching and sketching, the spark hit me: "What if I let go of the idea that it has to fold or move?"
The YOKA GRIDDLE is made by laser-cutting and then bending. What if I bent at 90°? What if I combined that with slots? Could I build a stand from just three parts? And could those three parts stack into one…?
Before YOKA I used to design construction toys. That experience came back to help me here. I prototyped in paper, then at the factory, and an actually-usable thing came out the other end.
This is a photo from when I took the first sample out for testing (and to shoot some images while we were at it).
A fire that burned properly. I remember being moved by something so simple.
I nervously brought the finished fire pit to a trade show, and to my surprise it got high marks from many buyers. "Oh — I can make a fire pit too!" That energy carried me through more prototyping and more testing, until we arrived at the current form.
There were issues with deformation along the way, but those have been solved in the current Ver3 we sell today.

这才是杰作世上焚火台有数种类型。其中在户外热潮中急剧�畭薪�，便是这种"激光切割+折弯"的焚火台。铁制、组装式、偏重。因系日本町工厂以基础技术即可制作的样式，一度此类焚火台多到令人惊讶（如今则常见轻量组装式）。
如今或许已有不少朋友不知此事，我便在此明言：此样式的原型，正是 YOKA 这只焚火台。
当然，并非要将所有同样做法的产品都告以"抄袭抄袭"。技术总是基于前置技术不断演进，否定这一点便否定了发展。但有一句话我想说：即便某物已遍地皆是、无人能辨原型，也必定存在最初的那一只。
我并不想说"因为是最初便伟大、便最厉害"。只是——若任由 YOKA 这只焚火台被埋没为"不就是那种常见样式的一员吗"，我觉得不太对。

本品诞生于 2018 年。彼时 YOKA 以木制家具为主，

在此之前，我们以"室内外通用"为方向、以家具为核心展开。但想在 Instagram 的画面里更多曝光！为此就要打造露营场景中的"主角"！于是萌生了制作焚火台的想法。
彼时焚火台仍是大厂的领域。所谓 garage brand（这一称谓是后来才有的），仅有 Monoral、笑's、Sanzoku Mountain 等屈指可数的几家。
在这种状况下——我做焚火台真的可以吗？做得出来吗？？
在反复涂画草图之时，我灵光一现：「如果不再考虑可动呢？」
YOKA GRIDDLE 的工艺为"激光切割+折弯"。若将折弯角度设为 90°、再与开孔组合……仅三件部件，是否就能构成一只台？而这三件部件，是否还能叠合为一……？
在做 YOKA 之前，我做过组装玩具，这段经验在此派上了用场。先纸上试做、再到工厂试做，最终成型为可实际使用之物。
此为携首批样品外出测试（顺便拍摄形象图）的照片。
能把篝火生得起来。这等理所当然之事，当时我深受感动。
就这样诚惶诚恐地把成品送至展会，竟意外地获得众多采购的好评。"原来我也可以做焚火台！"——由此势头大�瓠と�复试做、反复测试，方才达到今日之形。
途中曾出现变形问题，目前已克服，并以 Ver3 的形态进行销售。
